There is a similar compulsion, again across continents, to do something for our feathered friends as designers create habitats for birds. This entire issue is about people, driven by passions beyond the usual, from diverse design fields – fashion, cinema, architecture, technology and products – it is always about pushing the envelope just a little bit more. I’m reminded of these lines I read somewhere – Life is occupied in both perpetuating itself and in surpassing itself. If all it does is maintain itself, then living is only not dying.
