For this issue we have a wonderfully versatile Italian Sindhi on our cover; Sita Spada Sambhwani, an Odissi dancer, an actor, and a model. Equally talented, and having acted in over 21 films in the South, we found Sanjjanaa, brazen and confident, and ready to meet Bollywood head on! This next Sindhi has reached the top of the world, literally! Going where no Sindhi has gone before, Hemant Sachdev recently conquered Mt. Everest, becoming the first ever Sindhi to have completed this extremely difficult task. Asanjo paanjo stand-up comedian, Atul Khatri was found to be amusing beyond the ordinary. Friends of The Sindhian got to experience him first-hand and were blown away by his witty stage presence. Fashionista Aparna Badlani amazed us with her designer store “Atosa” from where she retails some very exclusive outfits. From Jaipur, Akanksha Arora of Amrapali dazzled us with her unique silver and semi-precious jewelry collection. Media maverick, the restless Rajesh Tahil shared the story of his success in the world of media. Free-spirited therapist Alaokika Bharwani told us just how important it is to be able to fall in love with ourselves. Cooking up a storm, we met chef-mate (a title i gave him) Pradeep Tejwani, who helps restaurateurs and the like set up their kitchens. Interesting! Vedika Bajaj, many refer to her as the “florentine queen”, thoroughly impressed and spoilt us with her brand of delicious confectionery. Eight young entrepreneurs came onto our radar to excite us with their ventures. Vishnu Malani - co-founder of a virtual gadget store; Anjali Kirpalani - a young authoress whose book was released recently; Neha Gursahani - an upcoming designer; Gaurav Aswani - a talented artist; Aditya Berry - partner at a fitness gym; Hitesh Keswani - restaurant owner in Bandra, Mumbai; Tripti Bhatia - a PR professional with her own company; and Urshila Mehta - who dabbles in all things art related. Read on to know the stories of their struggles and triumphs.
