The rain Gods seem to have finally relented! Most of India, and especially Mumbai, has been reeling under heavy rains. The Mumbaikar’s life has not been disrupted as much. Temperatures have dropped to more comfortable levels. The smell of a quenched earth, the freshness of plants and trees around us bring us bliss, beauty and relief from the recent sweltering summer. For me, the monsoon is my most favorite season, and it’s time to head to the hills for a break.

But before I go, I leave you with this new issue of The Sindhian, to read at leisure, while savoring a hot cup of coffee and some sandwiches, or hot bhajiyas for that matter, and watching the rain.

What you can look forward to in this issue are three top-notch Sindhi Stand-Up Comedians who made it to our cover. Atul Khatri, Nitin Mirani and Aditi Mittal are considered the best in the laughter business and have performed 100’s of shows in India and overseas, making millions laugh. Get to know them better inside.

We also talked to more interesting personalities like Pratibha Advani, a renowned documentary filmmaker, and the daughter of erstwhile and famous former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. Dr Shyam Lulla, a psychiatrist of repute impressed us with his practice, and South Mumbai based dentist Dr Mahesh Lalwani took us through his experiences in the fi eld of dentistry.

International body builder from Indonesia Chaya Keswani stunned us with her physique, Malini Gulrajani from Dubai impressed us with her exhibits at her art gallery there, and Deepa Vaswani showed us how the simple practice of mudras can help us all lead healthy lives.

Others that caught our attention were Purearth founder Kavita Khosa, event conceptualiser Shubhra Bhardwaj, management consultant Hiru Bijlani, chocolatier Luvin Paryani, NLP coach Puja Kirpalani, Foxymoron founder Suveer Bajaj, Audiowave Art creator Varun Malkani, image consultant Sonia Samtani, author Nikita Lalwani and Sindhi food expert Sannat Ahuja.

More power to the Sindhis, as we go along finding more and more interesting personalities with every issue!
