For this issue, we got a hold of fashion moghul Tarun Tahiliani, along with his sister Tina. They let us in on their Sindhi roots and the reason why they are one of the most sought after brands in India and overseas. Sunhil Sippy, we thought, reminded us of the media boys in Mad Men. He took us into his world of photography and ad films. With so many nightspots sprouting up, we found mother-daughter duo Sadhna and Sheen Lalwani of ‘Hawaiian Shack’ holding their own. Speaking of strong women, we chatted with Pratima Bhatia about her determination to become a designer of stature. Gita Mirchandani, a renowned woman in the field of media, used public relations as her forte to further her ambition. New York based facial plastic surgeon Dr Dilip Madnani impressed us with his surgical talent. From Kerala, we found globally recognized Dr Manik Hiranandani, who uses a combination of Western medicine, Ayurveda, and the Ancient Sciences to heal patients. Delhi-based teenager Mehak Manwani intrigued us with her talent and repertoire of work. From Los Angeles, versatile actor Tony Mirrcandani, told us about his reel life. We saw how New York’s nimble danseuse Namrata Israni Bajaj dreams with her feet. Perfectly timed with the season of joy and brightness, we sampled sweet treats by Varsha Kalani. Kashish Hemnani's label featuring exotic bags from Hong Kong also caught our eye. In our very own backyard, a multi disciplinary store by Noorie Sadarangani is making waves. Heer Masand from Dubai, shares her woman-of-steel story. Last but not the least, young entrepreneurs Veda Raheja, for her understated, yet stylish bespoke designs; Mausam Jotwani for her mouth-watering cheeses, and Roma Thadani, for her natural handcrafted body care products, enthused us.
