The rain gods are out in full force, and it's time for us to bring out the toys.

Enter the new Audi R8 V10 Plus. With 602bhp on tap, it sure is fast, it's still as forgiving as it used to be, but you may be surprised to find out what it has in common with nursery rhymes.

Speaking of going back to school, there's the textbook Porsche 911 R, the most-pared back 911 you can buy today. It has the engine from a GT3 RS, and three pedals. Sweet!

Then there's the incoming Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet. It's an easy-going boulevard cruiser that will appeal to you with its looks and its style.

We've also taken a Datsun redi-GO for its toughest test yet to north-east India. The results may surprise you.

In other news, the Volvo XC90 takes on the new Mercedes GLS out in the desert. Ducati has been hard at work, and it has finally let us sample the new Panigale 959. Also in this issue are drives of the new Mercedes GLC and Volkswagen Ameo, rides of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Indian Roadmaster, and our new motorsport section makes its debut, so you can have your fill from the world of F1, WRC, MotoGP and Indian motorsport. As usual, the July issue of TG is a thrill-a-minute ride.
