Present study was undertaken to explore the impact of hardiness, age and sex on health maintenance behaviour. A 2 x 2 x 2 factorial design was used. A sample of 320 subjects participated in the study. Results of the study revealed that neither hardy subjects differed from non-hardy subject nor, young from old subjects, with respect to health maintenance behaviour. Male subjects were found to be more conscious about their health than female subjects, and all the interaction effects except one hardiness x age x sex was found insignificant. The findings were discussed in the light of previous findings and highlights the existing controversy regarding health maintenance behaviour. Further research in this area is suggested.
