Empowering Startups & SMEs Building 100 Bn BioEconomy The government has undertaken several initiatives to boost the biotechnology industry in the country. A key focus has been on the creation of Technology Parks which in the developed countries are known to be successful vehicles for innovation and commercialization of technology and also an inducer for R&D investment. As a result, the Department of Biotechnology DBT, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has established Biotechnology Parks and Incubators across the country to translate research into products and services by providing necessary infrastructure support.
