Once again, I am delighted to bring to you the May 2019 edition of Microbioz India magazine, supported by the cover story entitled “Pharma Laboratory and Waste Management”authored by Microbioz editorial team. The cover story features Pharmaceutical laboratory wastes and their management and includes some discussion on sustainability- as more and more pharmaceutical companies launch new projects, an even greater amount of pharmaceuticals are secreted into the environment. However, companies are still working towards that aim. According to the statistics reported by WHO, 15 percent of the waste generated by health-care activities is considered to be hazardous: infectious, toxic, or radioactive. See Less
