The big story on Operation Sundown revealed that even before Operation Bluestar, Indira Gandhi, the then prime minister of India, had given nod to a secret plan by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to hijack Bindranwale in 1984. Another political big story examines what are the prospects of both the fronts- LDF and UDF- in winning seats in the upcoming Loksabha elections, with a detailed look into the performance of parliamentarians from Kerala. Kiran Kumar's efforts to keep himself aloof in Telengana subject was another important political story. Malabar's changing attitude to murder politics has been examined in a story set on the background of recent SDPI-CPM tussles in Tirur, Malappuram. The bitter family politics of DMK, involving Karunanidhi and sons Azhagiri and Stalin was analyzed, and an exclusive intreview of Azhagiri was also featured, in which he alleged that there was a conspiracy on against him within the party. A feature on budding ghazal artists from Mattancherry, Kochi was also featured. Known for legendary singers like Mehboob and K J Yesudas, Mattancherry still keeps the tradition of music close to its heart, says the feature. A profile of artiste P S Jalaja, whose works were exhibited in Prague and Kochi Muziris Biennale, was also featured.
