Highlights of India Today Telugu issue dated January 21st, 2014. The issue carried English edition's Cover Story “APP +ve going Viral"- as Cover. The story discusses the effect of Aam Aadmi party's influence on other parties as the established parties reorient themselves in ways they never imagined. A Story about the victims of toxic effluents from a government owned plant, ‘The Acid Fields of Panmana’ projects the real picture in a village in Kerala, where the plant killing people and nature. Main Story from Andhra Pradesh is about Alarming rise in attacks on girl students. About 150 cases have been reported from Hyderabad and Cyberabad police limits in last two months alone. All these cases of violence and harassment involves girl students. Most of the perpetrators have turned out tobe employees of an institution, including teachers, even principals. Cases were also emerging from private tuition classes and coaching centers. The story exposes how educational institutions have failed to ensure the safety of their girl students with opinions of experts and other related persons. There was a special story on Sankranthi, a crop-festival of Telugu people, which has a tradition of many centuries. The story discusses about changing trends of the Telugu culture and also focused on cock- fight, which runs into billions of rupees betting. A Story on GSLV-5 launch from Sriharikota was also carried. Regulars like Snippets on Telugu film industry have been carried.
