Dear Readers,
It’s been a turbulent time, but we are slowly figuring out how to live with the reality of coronavirus. For some, the past few months may have proved unusually productive, but for many, the lockdown has forced many to reevaluate the things that really matter. One such person is our Cover star, Adith Arun. The actor chats to us about the lockdown, his upcoming projects, and food preferences in our Cover Story.
We’re now in our fourth month after the initial lockdown, and you may be missing life’s simple pleasures, like going out to your favourite restaurant. Eating home-cooked meals isn’t always quite the same, and sometimes we may lose interest in our own culinary skills. Also, sometimes we just cannot be bothered and find ourselves craving a dish from a local hotspot. Luckily for us, we have home cooks who can help us recreate the experience at home instead. Turn to our Feature Story to know more!
We’ve also put together a visual treat made up of culinary ones. Check out our Special Feature where a few Hyderabadis took time to share their favourite recipes to spice up our stay at home. In People in Focus, Palash Borah spoke at length about his love for cooking and his lockdown life. He also revealed his plan for experimenting with food and working towards combining it with learning and science.
The monsoon has begun, and while it brings relief from the summer heat, it also brings perils of humidity. With the rain showers comes the risk of being exposed to viruses, necessitating measures to manage the six most important seasonal flu symptoms – breathing difficulty, body ache, cough, blocked nose, headache and muscular stiffness early on. Read Mind and Body as we share a few tips on how you can build your immunity and respiratory health at home.
And tell us what you think. If you have any suggestions, comments or queries, please e-mail me at publisher@you-and-i.com.
