Highlights of India Today Telugu issue dated September 23rd, 2014. The India Today Telugu issue dated 23-09-2014 carried "Against All Odds" as the cover story, written by A.Rammohan Rao, which said that “The first government of Telangana is finding it hard to fulfill the aspirations of people and correct all that was done against the people of the region for almost six decades.” The story also discussed how KCR has tuned welfare programmes to win over people especially the three acre land allotment to Dalits, the drinking water scheme and the proposed compact 2BHK housing plan and the way he plans to handle the major issues: power shortage and division of government employees. There was an accompanying Story (Box) on KCR’s run in with the media, written by Amarnath K Menon. Big Story “Defence Mess” and Special Story “The China story” were taken from English pages and carried in this issue. There was also a special coverage of four pages of “Kashmir Floods & NDMA” in the issue. Regular columns like "National Interest" by Shekhar Gupta, "Eye Catchers", "News Notes"and "Cine Bits" were also carried.
