You may already know about some of the female powerhouses – the moguls, world leaders, dignitaries, and sports stars who can dominate the world with a single Instagram post, performance or activity in the public eye. Many such women – like Kamala Harris, Seema Samridhi, Dutee Chand, and Alicia Garza – are extremely well known, either within their respective spheres of influence, throughout the country, and the world. As we mark International Women’s Day on March 8 – we commemorate the occasion by featuring nine hardworking women who rose to fame due to their great achievements last year.
