Dear Readers,
March is a month that beautifully reflects the cultural diversity of our country. This year, it brings together two significant celebrations—Ramadan and Eid for the Muslim community, and Ugadi for the Telugu community—each carrying with it traditions of faith, renewal, and togetherness. To capture the spirit of these festivals, we spoke to people from across the city who shared what these occasions mean to them and how they celebrate with family and friends. In our Feature Story, we present a roundup of Ugadi and its festivities, while our Special Feature explores the sacred month of Ramadan that culminates in Eid, with Hyderabadis sharing personal insights into their traditions and the significance the festival holds in their lives.
On the cover of this issue is Madhuri Prativadi, the mind behind M’PRA, a brand rooted not in trends or seasonal urgency, but in a deep respect for India’s textile traditions. For Madhuri, clothing is not something to be produced quickly—it is something to be inherited. The philosophy behind M’PRA reflects this belief. Each garment grows from a dialogue between craft and contemporary life, connecting artisan communities whose skills have been passed down through generations with modern women who seek meaning in what they wear. Read more about her inspiring journey in our Cover Story.
Meanwhile, in People in Focus, we feature Deepti Chadda, a founder who during the early years of motherhood, began observing the power of storytelling, imagination, and unstructured play in her children’s lives. That instinct-led journey eventually shaped Star Papaya. In this conversation, Deepti reflects on parenting,  ambition, and why choosing slowness may be the most intentional act of all.
In Grand Getaways, Sunny Anand takes us along on his journey to the United States—an experience that blended travel, fashion, and discovery in unexpected ways. His trip across several American cities also marked a professional milestone when he walked the ramp as the showstopper at the International Fashion Gala 2026 in Chicago.
As always, we hope this issue offers stories that inspire, connect, and celebrate the many ways people shape their lives and communities. Happy reading.
