Dear High Flyers,
The beginning of a new year brings in a new series of festivals in India! Lohri, Makar Sakranti, Vasant Panchami, and Pongal to name a few of them. Makar Sakranti and Vasant Panchami are very closely associated with kite-flying. Hence, I thought what would be a better time to talk about kite-flying as a hobby! Read about the hobby on pages 3 & 4.
The lead news on page 1 is about the Pre-Budget Meeting called by the Prime Minister where he met experts from various sectoral groups.
Have you heard about the World's largest bird? Well, if not, then you can read about it in the second news for the day.
Page 2 is something very close to my heart. Read the lovely account of Samaira's holiday in the Trip and Tell on this page. We all at TCP love reading travelogues!
Page 4 also has a lovely poem by Samaira Dewan where she shares her Ice-Cold Dream.
Page 5 has the sports news, a DIY for making a simple kite, a beautiful doodle by Anhad Singh, and the laughter dose of Funny Bunnies by Aakarsh Agarwal.
Enjoy the edition and have a lovely weekend!
