The Interim Budget! What fun!

Today's edition is obviously the Budget Special. We have brought you only the key highlights of the budget. When you do read the more detailed budget, do ask a few questions:
Where is the money coming from?
Where is the money going?
How much is Defence getting, and in what areas?
What about other important areas - health, education, infrastructure?
A lot of people make the mistake of studying only those parts of the budget that matter to them - what becomes expensive, what becomes cheaper, income tax, etc., We have tried to avoid that bias and present a little information from all the important sectors. But please do read more if you would like.

I have often heard people complain that there aren't any good Hindi story books for children. Today's book review of NBT's folk tales' collection should help with that complaint. The other feature on that page is Praneeth Udathu's Countries of the World.

Page 3 - the Editorial space has been used to share more details of the Budget. Mr. Owl's Do you Know ,Word Magic, and Quote of the Day complete the page.

Page 4 has sports news, a lovely poem for our junior readers (We have started an alphabet poem series - the first was A se Anaar, and today is Aa se Aam. Do tell us what you think of learning the Hindi alphabet in this fun way).
Aditya Nema's Cool Comix wraps up the edition, and it is as funny as ever!

Love, Nidhi aunty
