INTRODUCTION I had no idea that I would ever consider it worthwhile to write some sort of a biography as I am doing now. Every man lives in this world learning some lessons through his pleasant and unpleasant experiences. In this sense each man has some justification for telling his story. But for writing it there should be sufficient justification. It should have to narrate some unusual happenings which may hold some interest for other men. The inner revolution I went through recently afforded me such an opportunity. It is both unusual and exciting for a house-holder like me. It naturally called for an introspection of my life which I am doing now. I am aware of my present state of being which has become merely moment to moment existence. It has made no difference to the working life. I realise that sages could reach such a state only after years of meditation and austere yogic practices. How could I just walk into it effortlessly is a wonder of wonders. It may be fascinating for the aspirants of higher life. Moreover, a written record of what I went through may facilitate research in human consciousness. I owe it to the human race in which I was born. I have to motivate myself to work by arousing duty consciousness, for otherwise my sense of satisfaction has reached a level where I enjoy being just myself. A sense of participation in all human activities without physically engaging myself in them is another novel experience. Any how, it is for readers to see if this account is in any way useful to them. As I realise, self-expression is life at all levels of consciousness. So I must express and continue to live. May God bless you all. This is revised edition of my book ‘Voyage to Freedom’ containing five more small chapters of my story from birth to my days in Hindu College, Amritsar.
