Rajasthan has been home to illustrious personalities of every colour and character, who have made both the state and nation proud with their achievements. A glowing example is Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs & Sports, whom we have featured on our cover this issue. Rathore’s incredible journey from a colonel in the Indian Army to an Olympic medallist to a parliamentarian and minister of the Centre underscores exceptional calibre and is truly inspiring. Yet another youngster who is proving to be worthy of his salt is Agastya Dalmia, grandson of renowned industrialist Ramkrishna Dalmia, whose efforts to revamp ‘Keventers’ with an array of milkshakes has given a fresh lease of life to the once iconic brand. With the wedding season knocking on the doors, it is once again time to look at the latest trends for the season. We bring you tips on wedding wear, jewellery, décor, food and photography from reputed names. They promise to turn every wedding into a truly glamorous affair. The romance and charm of the bygone era of Rajputs and the royals of Rajputana may be no more, but for the Burad family of Mangalmayee it lives on in the traditional poshaks and saris that they have been creating for the royal families for over a century. In doing so, not only have they kept a heritage alive, but have also sustained grassroots artists and craftsmen for entire generations. We bring you an update. With all this and more, we bring you another stimulating issue of Marwar.

Marwar is a community-based magazine with an emphasis on profiling the best and the brightest in the Marwari community. The magazine reaches the elite in India and abroad who want to read and discover the wonders of all things connected with the community. Thus, the subjects featured have to have the flavour of Marwar and Rajasthan—its culture, lifestyle and traditions. We highlight arts, crafts, music, dance and theatre as well as fashion and food that are connected to the region apart from immensely successful businessmen and businesswomen. In the past, luminaries like Laxmi Mittal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Indu Jain, Sanjiv Goenka and Rajashree Birla, to name a few, have graced our cover.
