On the road to the end of 2011, we, yet again, met and interviewed a wide gamut of pleasant personalities. Born and brought up in Lagos, Pune girl Seema Ramchandani, a versatile singer with a powerful stage presence, caught our attention when we saw her performance at Dada Vaswani’s celebrations. Another Sindhi duo, Saif Samejo and Naeem Shah, from the other side of the border, Jamshoro, Pakistan, a Sufi/pop/rock band The Sketches, blew us away with their style and genre of music. Builders of repute, the Lund family from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu impressed us with their success in the field of construction. With a flair for business, these working women, Shilpa (Sachwani) Gupta, owner of the exclusive furniture and accessories store Mosaic, Mala Hemnani of The Denim Story, the feisty and flamboyant Rakhee Vaswani of Palate Culinary Studio, and Diya Dembla of Skin Kitchen, all astonished us with their skills in various professions and businesses.
