We begin our 16th year with great gusto and enthusiasm! Encouraged by you, our readers, we endeavor onward in our work of bringing you more stories of Sindhi achievers from India and across the
world. Challenging as it may be, I love the opportunities of meeting the many new and wonderful people that we get to interact with, teaching us so much about our culture, our being, our food, our customs, and about the extremely enterprising community we belong to. Sindhis never cease
to amaze me!

This time around, and as we enter 2019, we bring you
stories of a variety of non-Sindhis married to Sindhis – Preeti Jhangiani & Parvin Dabas, Maheka & Amrit Mirpuri, Shereen Sikka & Siddarth Bharwani, Talat & Bina Aziz, Payal Khandwala & Vikram Ramchandani, and Dharmesh Karmokar & Neeha Kukreja. Interesting as it may be, we get a great insight into what it is like to be married to a Sindhi – read on to know if the people that have tied the knot to Sindhis are happy, content and well taken care of, or not!

And of course, as usual, we have other equally engaging stories of people such as Dayal Harjani - a businessman turned author, from Hong Kong, Ashvin Gidwani from Mumbai, who has been rolling out  theatre shows for almost three decades, and Michou Mahtani – a marketing whiz of a retail home and house-ware company from New York.

Many others that impressed us with their stories this time around are health practitioner Sumitra Daswani, fitness expert Arun Mirchandani, image consultant Vishakha Motwani Zaveri, sisters behind a live kitchen studio Shivani & Vritti Vasnani, metallic sticker manufacturer Ritika Sachdev, CEO of ChildFund India Neelam Makhijani, founders of a luxury F&B brand Ashish, Mohit & Prerna Bhatia, owners of a boutique brand relations agency Janvi Mankani & Komal Rukhana, Rotarian Om Chawla, and architect Sandeep Nagpal.

I hope that this issue will keep you occupied and make you feel proud of your fellow Sindhis. I'm grateful to my community for reading and supporting The Sindhian year after year and helping us reach this stage.

Here’s wishing you all a Happy New Year!
