Hello lovely readers,
Wish you all A Very Happy Vijayadashami!
How many of you know that it is a tradition to eat Fafda-Jalebi on Dussehra? Yummm….even the thought of it is mouth watering!
In this edition, we cover what is Vijayadashmi and how is it celebrated in various parts of the country. We have a special feature on the villages in Madhya Pradesh where Ravan is worshipped and on the Ravan effigies: How and where are they made. For those of you who live in Delhi, Titarpur is a must visit before Dussehra. They start making the effigies immediately after Rakshabandhan! The roads are flooded on both sides with parts of effigies in various sizes.
Today, we have a double treat by Samaira, a book review and a lovely poem. There is a new German lesson by Anjas too!
Let this Dussehra light up your sky. With burning flames of enthusiasm, enjoy the victories that belong to you!
A Special thank you to Nidhi Aunty, Ekta Aunty and Bhavneet Uncle for pouring in ideas for the special edition!
Do let us know whether you like the special editions in a special colour or would you want us to stick to the original blue?
Hope you enjoy the edition! Do share your thoughts with me.
Have a lovely weekend!
Love, Harinder
